Kate Perkins
Director & Specialised Occupational Therapist
AHPRA Registered Practitioner: OCC000187152

Kate Perkins is a highly respected Occupational Therapist specialising in cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema management. She is the driving force behind several leading services and initiatives, including:
- Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions
- Coastal Rehab Hub
- Bounce Back From Breast Cancer , an online exercise-based rehabilitation program
- OncoLaser™ , which she co-founded with Dr Catherine Norton to advance cancer rehab through photobiomodulation therapy delivered in a clinical setting
Kate’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her extensive professional training. She is an accredited head and neck lymphoedema therapist and supports patients experiencing complications related to neck dissection surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Her approach is grounded in current research and clinical best practice, combining hands-on treatment with advanced OncoLaser™ therapy using MLS Laser technology ensuring patients receive safe, effective and evidence-based care.
A true innovator in her field, Kate was one of the earliest clinicians to incorporate SOZO bioimpedance spectroscopy (Impedimed) into practice. This leading-edge technology enables her to track subtle changes that may signal the onset of cancer-related lymphoedema, particularly in patients who have undergone lymph node removal or other cancer-related treatments.
As an active member of the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA), Kate delivers a comprehensive and evidence-based recovery program. She is known for her compassionate, patient-care approach, with a strong focus on empowering self-management through personalised exercise plans, garment selection, travel guidance, skin care routines, and dietary support — ensuring every treatment plan is tailored to each patient’s individual needs, goals and recovery journey.
With a background as a competitive cyclist, triathlete and an avid surfer, Kate brings a deep passion for sport, movement and wellbeing to her work. She is dedicated to helping every patient regain strength, confidence and the ability to return to the activities that bring them joy after cancer treatment.

Caitlin is a warm, dedicated Occupational Therapist with advanced qualifications as both an Accredited Lymphoedema Therapist and a Head & Neck Lymphoedema Therapist. Since joining the clinic in 2022, she has worked alongside Kate to deliver exceptional, hands-on care, incorporating MLS Laser through the OncoLaser™ approach to support patients throughout their cancer rehabilitation.
After completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) in 2023 and undertaking specialised lymphoedema training at Macquarie University in early 2024, Caitlin has built a strong clinical foundation grounded in evidence-based practice. She is an active member of the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA) and is continually expanding her skills through further education and professional development.
Caitlin offers a comprehensive treatment approach that includes manual lymphatic drainage, movement-based therapy, and tailored garment prescription. Her background in acute post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation has equipped her with valuable skills that now enhance her ability to support patients through complex cancer recovery.
She recently added Head & Neck Lymphoedema certification to her credentials, allowing more patients to access specialised care and reinforcing her commitment to delivering best-practice rehabilitation services.
Driven by curiosity and a passion for learning, Caitlin stays closely connected to emerging research in cancer rehabilitation, lymphoedema management, and MLS Laser therapy to ensure her patients receive the most up-to-date and effective support.
Fun fact: Before becoming an OT, Caitlin explored her love of travel by working as a travel agent. These days, she spends her downtime adventuring along the beach with her much-loved (and very large) puppy.
